Almost nothing. Reality Test is designed to work without collecting your personal data. Your thoughts, responses, and check history are stored only on your device using your browser's local storage. We never see them.
When you submit a thought for a reality check, the text of your thought is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate your reframe. It is transmitted securely and is not retained, stored, or used to identify you after your response is returned.
We use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — things like which screens users reach and how often the app is used. No thought content, no personal identifiers. This data helps us understand whether the app is working and improve it over time.
We use browser local storage to save your check history and streak on your device. This data never leaves your device. We do not use tracking cookies.
Your thought text is processed by Anthropic to generate the AI reframe. Anthropic's own privacy policy governs how they handle data. Anonymous usage analytics are collected by PostHog. We do not sell data to any third party and do not use advertising networks.
Reality Test is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from minors.
If we materially change this policy, we will update the date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
